Events within the corporate sector have many advantages; networking, education, idea cultivation, collaboration and morale building make up just a few. The most successful corporate events will keep all of these (and more) in mind while giving attendees the opportunity and space to achieve through their own engagement. For example synergy coming from peer discussions at conferences, expos and meetings or healthy competition and comparison through awards and recognition programs.

 

I have been lucky enough to have started my career in corporate awards galas, initially for a publication with established awards programs within the mortgage, law and HR industries. I was then approached to start up a marketing and customer experience awards, as the first of its kind at a B2B events company. After a few core organisational changes my position grew to operations for the summits and meetings as well.

CXO Leaders Awards

Australia

Building the CXO Leaders awards for marketing heads from concept to completion, key tasks include:
•    Research and consultation with company directors and industry experts to determine categories and criteria
•    Collaboration with web developers for a new site build, designer for the logo and promo material and CEO to develop a budget
•    Design and production of visual presentation for finalist reel and animated holding slides
•    Source, secure and coordinate external suppliers, including printing, staging, photography, MC and entertainment 
•    Creation and ongoing upkeep to events attendee registration sites, nomination portals and websites within EventsAir
•    Collation and distribution of all on-site documentation
•    On-site supervision from bump in through the event to bump out
•    Very experienced in Excel, Word, PowerPoint on MAC and PC as well as Adobe Photoshop, PDF editor, After Effects and other computer programs.

C-Suite Summits

Australia, Indonesia, Thailand & Singapore

​CIO/CISO/FSI conference operations management, key tasks include:

  • Creation and ongoing updates of events attendee registration sites, nomination portals and websites with EventsAir

  • Venue liaison and point of contact for BEO, floor plan and accommodation for team, speakers and clients

  • Summit runsheet, AV runsheets, table plans and other on-site documentation

  • General bump in, on-site management of all departments and bump out

  • Creation and ongoing upkeep to events attendee registration sites, nomination portals and websites within EventsAir

  • Collation and distribution of all on-site documentation

  •  On-ste supervision from bump in through the event to bump out

National Awards Programs

Australia & New Zealand

Law, HR & Mortgage Awards operations coordination, key tasks included:

  • Acted as the initial contact with finalists and liaised with sponsors to gain necessary collateral

  • Collaborated with design, sales and marketing departments for all event campaigns

  • Created the visual presentation for the awards night and conferences

  • Organized external suppliers, such as photography, staging and MC/entertainment, as well as event documentation and briefing sheets

  • Performed general set up and stage managing at the event and post event administration

  • Created on-going updates of events, attendee registration, desktop sites and mobile apps in EventsAir and websites in Joomla
